Minister Desmond McKenzie and his delegation was part of the first Advisory Council Meeting in Panama, discussing the composition of the Agenda for the 3 days Regional Platform for Disaster Risk Reduction in the Americas and the Caribbean (Conference) to be held in Jamaica July 8 -10, 2019.
Stakeholders from across the region were a part of discourse; these stakeholders included: Pan American Health Organization, Organization of American State, Economic Comission for Latin America, International Development Bank, United Nations Office for Disaster Risk Reduction among others. This is the second meeting of the Council and another meeting will be held in October as Jamaica, the host of the Regional Platform 2020, works with its partners develop a realistic Agenda for #RP20.
